MATTHEW MOK
I feel, therefore I write....
As I listen to Michael Jackson's new single THIS IS IT which he had wanted to debut in his London concerts, I feel a plethora of emotions.

Sad because the King of Pop is no longer with his millions of loving and faithful fans; happy that his genius and legacy in pop music and dance culture is still being celebrated and will continue to be celebrated for decades to come; and overwhelmingly excited about his concert movie premiere I am attending tonight.

Who was Michael? Why he did what he did? How does one man, and one man alone, make millions cry and near-hysteric when he sings, when he moves, when he stands there motionless? Those who have met Michael in person would tell you that he had this special aura around him that kept people captivated and wanting more. He was magic!

Despite all the bad press and whatnots about Michael in recent years (whether you choose to believe them or not), he was still the one unmatched by any other great artists of similar caliber.

Michael Joseph Jackson was the greatest entertainer ever. Period.

Tonight, with select fellow Malaysians, I will pay homage to the man, the original thriller in his final curtain call, THIS IS IT. Let's be part of history to watch the music legend at work for what would have been the biggest comeback concerts of all time...
